Positive: The breakfast prepared by our gracious host was delicious. Homemade bread along with fried pan bread (petulla), eggs, sausages and salads, local fruits, jams and honey filled the table. On one of the days during our stay, there was a downpour and we stayed in for the evening instead of going out, our host brought us a platter of cheese and meats to have for dinner. So thoughtful.
Negative: There was nothing lacking during our stay. The place is surrounded by olive and fruit trees, and you can see Berat just across the river. It was nice to be so close to the city, but not in it. It's just a 5 minute drive to Berat. Our group of 4 were the only guests at the time, so we had the common areas ( living room and kitchen, patios) to ourselves.
Summary: Our hosts were welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
